The homework for the weekend is here... super CORE challenge. I know this is an area that many of you want to work on and would like to strengthen and lean out. To get the most out of this workout you must work very quickly with excellent form. Form is key, especially on all of these planks. Keep the midsection tight to protect the back but get the booty DOWN to almost parallel! A little pelvic roll in will help to stabilize you and don't forget to tighten up the quads and glutes as well. Also, shoulders directly on top of the hands. Oh, Planks they look so simple but there is a lot to think about here!!
For the rounds of Plank Towel V Knee Pulls. You will need either two small towels for a hardwood/tile floor or paper plates/furniture slides for carpeted areas. Get into a plank position with wide feet and then pull the legs into a chest tucked position and back to start for one repetition.
The Plank Jacks are done by getting into a plank and then hopping your feet wide and together.
For Twist Hops you want to focus on initiating the movement from the midsection. Squeeze your legs together from ankles to knees to thighs. Now hop and twist the legs/feet Right and Left for one repetition. This is a great chance to get a cardio burst! Please comment with any questions and I'll try to get some new photos up soon. YouTube can really help if you need a quick video clip explaining something. WORK HARD!
